Style adventures through Exposition Park

I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday guys. BUT I can say I am happy we’re that much closer to the weekend. As I am looking forward to what’s to come this weekend, I begin to reflect on what went on last weekend. I had a lovely style adventure through Exposition Park with my fam.

Last weekend was our overdue “Family Day” that us Henry’s tend to have every once in a while. We try to get those bonding moments in and catch up with one another during some family fun. My parents decided on going around the city of LA with the help of the new metro system, which I’ve also talked about here.

We ended up in downtown and just in time to show our support for the Women’s March LA on Washington. We rallied and left with our messages heard. I for one will never forget this event and what we all stood for together. Since we were also trying to get some fam time in, we headed for Exposition Park and the science center; to check out the Pixar Exhibit.

As we walked around the museum, I realized we were short on time and needed to head back to the valley soon. Of course before we left I had to get some shots in; the scenery really sparked my attention.

Since last Saturday was a bit chilly I thought it best to style my outfit accordingly. I knew I didn’t want to freeze while we were out but I also didn’t want to be so bundled I was uncomfortable (especially on the metro… way too crowded for alla that!). So I went for a thick, knit, sleeveless sweater with a much sought after cow neckline. I then paired my favorite silk, printed, wide legged pants and a long, jean jacket together; which fit my body like a god send (input prayer emoji-ha).

Sweater: Salvation Army, Pants: Buffalo Exchange, Jacket: Buffalo Exchange,

Cross-Body Bag: Forever 21, Sunglasses: Fendi

Next I added a patent leather, quilted, mini cross-body bag with my ensemble. As well as a favored pair of black, suede, kitten, ankle boot heels to wrap it all up. This outfit kept me pretty warm throughout the day and comfortable enough to keep moving around, since this was a day of adventure after all.

My family and I enjoyed our little day. We got out of our routines for a bit and travelled around the city to find ourselves in untouched territory (by us anyway); and this will go down in my memories.

How do you guys dress on a day of adventure through your city? Let me know in the comments below!

Till next time loves,
