Happy Spring my loves. I for one am SO excited for this new beginning we’ve all been given. Time to shed the old as well as some of those layers to make room for a lighter, more fun kind of attire [enter dancing, red dressed woman emoji here]. Keep in mind; it is still in the early stages of spring time sooo be aware of those showers… & the winds still rollin in. That is exactly what I kept an eye out for with this look that I’m rocking here.
Over this past weekend I purchased this patchwork, red-white-blue hued, long skirt. I would be lying if I said I didn’t almost fly over the vintage shop to get my hands on this skirt when my friend pulled it from the rack. This style piece just really stood out to me and little did I know it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Oh and it’s high-waisted… my god, I was sold!
Last Sunday my best friend Gen & I headed out to Westwood for the day to go check out the Hammer Museum. I had never been, so I was really excited to see all of the artwork & installations; and of course take a “couple” of pictures. I mean the Hammer museum surrounding me and this new skirt obsession I’m into just had to be captured.
For my Hammer museum excursion I thought it would be great to pair together a high-neck, sleeveless, black crop-top with my newest vintage patchwork skirt find. Followed by another vintage find, this suede & leather jacket; accompanied by a pair of black block heeled sandals and a baby pink cross-body bag (you know I love me a good cross-body).
Anyway, Gen and I got to the museum a little too close to closing so we saw as much as we could with the time we had but I will definitely be paying the museum another visit soon. All and all it was a fun day I had over the weekend, welcoming Spring was a breath of fresh air (1 day prior is still Spring official right?), finding and styling up this skirt put a pep in my step, and well just living life and experiencing new experiences is always fun, especially with your BFF.
Till next time lovelies,
