It’s Tuesday and the Journey of Mine is on to the next chapter. I know I have been very much MIA of late but all in good reason. As you all know, I took the next big step in my life and moved 8 hrs away from home. I have made San Francisco my home for the past two months so far and may I just say, I am digging the rollercoaster ride. Gen (the bffl) and I have finally furnished our place up to our liking and made it a true home. Of course while getting my place together and feeling out my new job; school starts and thats when the ride really took off. I started back at art school like I had planned for in this post.
For a while I had been thinking about returning to the Academy of Art University in SF to finish up and finally get my degree in Fashion Merchandising. I came to the decision that I was ready to stop looking at the industry from afar and instead go after a way to get into the action. So here I am, buckled down with a schedule that allows little sleep but great inspiration and motivation to keep trying.
While school and work are huge priorities in my life right now so is this Journey of Mine. This blog is my special outlet, it is an extension of myself and the obstacles and achievements I’ll run into along the way. I like to showcase a lot of what’s happening in my life here and as the journey continues, I’m sure there will be a lot more to show!
This brings me to some exciting news, I found my first great photographer here in SF. Since I moved here I have had Gen taking all of my pics for a temporary amount of time. I feel so appreciative that I have a friend that would help a sistah out like that, so I thank you boo. As of right now I have just started to work with someone new and what a pleasure it is. I am excited to get more of my content out there in this little part of the internet and bare it all.
In this post I am wearing the newest leotard addition to my closet. This white, spandex/cotton blend, lace-up leotard top is so perfectly form fitting on my figure. When I received this top from Amazon’s Clothink brand I was a little weary on how this top would look and feel like in person. To my surprise this top exceeded my expectations once I tried it on so I did a little happy dance in the mirror. I immediately started seeing potential outfits in my head to create with this gem and voila here it is! I wore this ensemble in downtown SF when I met up with a few of my girlfriends and may I just say, this white top came home well intact with it’s white color (where are the maracas?)
I hope you all have a wonderful and exciting week. Anything you wanna share? Just leave me a comment below 🙂
Till next time,
This post was in collaboration with Clothink. All thoughts and opinions are of my own
