With summer just around the corner I decided to go lighter with my hair (shocking, I know). I went for the braided style for the second time and I absolutely love the result. Wearing braids has opened me up to a new part of myself that I haven’t become too acquainted with, I feel more free spirited and more in touch with who I am as a woman and the unique qualities I possess. I feel confident, in control, and just all around joyful. Also the braiding process this time was a lot less exhausting and painful. The first time I got my hair braided a couple of months ago… man it was a bit brutal, let’s just say I went in at 6pm and didn’t leave the shop until 2am. But I did enjoy my hair enough to try it again so I guess it wasn’t THAT bad.
In this look I decided to go with a more casual 1970’s inspired ensemble. I paired my lovely flare jeans with a simple teal sleeveless top (makes my boobs look great- woo!) and my new wooden, studded wedges. I accessorized with my aviators and a tan, zipper embellished handbag.
