Hey guys! I’ve been meaning to dazzle you with another post so here it is. Fall in LA calls for an ensemble that will keep you warm but not warm enough to die of heat stroke (60- 80 degrees, REALLY?). So with this outfit I thought it best to dress according to the weather while still paying homage to the fall season. I am wearing a chunky sleeveless sweater accompanied by my favorite floral jean skirt I bought almost 7 years ago!
These photos were taken just this past Saturday. I woke up at around 10:30 in the morning because well, I really wanted to sleep in at least one time in the week–ha. I moved on to taking part in my normal beauty routine of brushing my teeth, washing my face, and lathering up on the coconut oil (I LOVE THE COCO). It was just me, my dad, and my brother in the house at the time and I was starving so I suggested going to “Cocos” for some much needed pancakes.
After breakfast and a long, hilarious conversation about the S/O’S in our lives (oh gawd), my brother, dad, and I went back home. I knew I wanted to shoot some photos that day and I knew I had a bag of new vintage apparel options still chilling in my trunk from the previous week, so I grabbed my little bro and we flew to the location.
This chunky, sleeveless, turtleneck sweater was a much treasured find that I found at my favorite Saturday shopping day store the Salvation Army. The fit is great and the material is still well intact without any fuzzies (yikes). I love how it is so versatile and can be worn with almost anything. I had never worn this sweater with a skirt, because it may have been too long BUT the contrast of the two pieces worked out perfectly!
My brother and I drove down to the shooting spot I had been eyeing for quite some time now. When we arrived I saw much more than I anticipated, with much of the architectural character surrounding us I knew this spot would be the best backdrop for what I had in mind. The Rancho de la Cordillera is what the location is called.
I added in a few black accessory pieces to add to my Fall in LA ensemble and really brought it home sort of speak. Black knee-high boot heels, a black cross-body bag (keepin it light), and shocking white framed sunnies is all I needed to bring this look to life. So I flipped my braids from side to side and I was ready to approach the rest of the day.
I hope you guys had a nice weekend and are now ready for this new week of opportunity!
Till next time babes,
