Black & Green “Sweater Weather”, oh and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year lovelies! I hope you all had a fantastic time saying goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017.  In this post I will be talking about my Black and Green” Sweater Weather” attire.

I know I have been a little MIA with this journey of mine lately (the holiday’s oy vey). But here I am to change all that.  I hope you all enjoyed the holiday celebrations and jotted down those lovely memories, for the new adventure to come.

I most certainly did. Although 2016 was a rough one for a lot of us (man oh man), I am taking all of the lessons I’ve learned through the struggle and I am using what I can to make 2017 the best one yet.

Black & Green Sweater Weather

Since the weather has been unusually cold out here in LA (but I’m not complaining), I have been going for the sweater weather look quite often. I bought this black, oversized knit sweater from express about two years ago and I absolutely love the loose enough fit and draped silhouette.

I decided to pair this lovely black sweater with another “sweater weather” piece, this plaid, forest green, and asymmetrical cut skirt. Now I also bought this skirt a couple years ago from mango, while I was living in SF. The unique asymmetrical cut and darker hue with added pattern and sweater fabric really caught my eye.  I knew I could do something with this little one!

This vintage Louis Vuitton, cross-body bag; added a lighter, dimensional look to this ensemble. I usually like to pick out “random” accessories to my outfits, to add in a little difference but not so much so that it just doesn’t make sense. Lastly I pulled these ankle high black boot heels to tie everything together.

I hope you all are ready for what’s to come this year, in your personal lives and oh yea on The Journey of Mine. Keep watch and follow along my lovelies. Leave a comment below with your thoughts and let’s spark up a convo!

Till next time,

Shall
