Easter Sunday snuck up on all of us. We’re in the middle of freaking April already and I cannot believe it, this year is flying. But like I’ve written in my bio, “I am vibrantly walking through” this year with a smile and a plan in hand. Seeing as we’ve reached Easter now I guess we got to keep up. Anyway, I am a fan of this lovely day & have been since I was a kid. The pastel colors, the super delicate & feminine attire, the cool, decorative & edible eggs, brunch (mimosas yes!), and of course the family coming together. This day has always become a memorable one.
During my childhood my grandma would always over decorate her home for Easter Sunday. We’d all gather around her home and try NOT to step on all of her
hidden (not so much) eggs & fake grass. I guess the festive apple didn’t fall too far from the tree because my mom however would make sure I looked as decorative & “Easter’esque” as possible. Let’s just say if there was a black version of Shirley temple in “The Little Princess” I would have been her.
Now as an adult I still revel in this fun & colorful day. When I realized Easter was approaching this year I began to search through my mental closet to figure out what I could possibly wear to brunch this year. Last year I wore a skirt and was a bit on the edgier side with a sense of feminism. However, this year I was feeling ultra girly and Spring ready soo I thought it best to opt out for a white “oh so original” dress. Accessorized with a faded, lime green, suede jacket, a beige basket bag (vintage & all mine) and a pair of light blue strappy sandal heels.
I added extra white based accessories like these drop white & gold earrings, along with my favorite pair of white framed sunnies to really bring the outfit together.
My family and I gathered around the brunch table just as we always have for Easter Sunday. We talked about my next upcoming adventure (the big reveal is approaching, promise!), our families coming’s & going’s (work, school, growing up, realizations, etc.), & just laughed… boy did we laugh. Just about everything was perfect last Sunday & I’d be lying if I said my white dress didn’t add to the happy mood 🙂
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and Easter celebration (if you celebrated).
Any who keep watch for my next post on Friday loves & thanks for reading. See ya then!
Till next time,
